About the club

The Myrtle Beach Flying Club was formed as a non-profit organization in 1993 after the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base was closed and the affiliated flying club was disbanded. Providing well-maintained, quality aircraft at moderate rates is the club's main objective. So far we have done just that, our club offers some of the lowest hourly rates in the country. We have approximately 70 members from all walks of life. Contrary to popular belief, flying airplanes is not restricted to wealthy doctors and lawyers. While we do have a few doctors and lawyers most of our club consists of small business owners, sales people, auto mechanics, school teachers and so on.
